Received lies about
Obama in my in-box
last night. Made me mad.
It's simple, really,
to fact-check, dispelling myths,
rumor, plain falsehoods.
It's okay to say,
We have different beliefs.
I won't vote for him.
But to suggest he
is part of bringing us down
from the inside, sucks:
To put him, through lies,
on par with people who fly
planes into buildings.
*****
Thanks to Jennifer and Christina for starting such a fun poetic exercise.

That being said, your haiku is really good! :)
Hey, I had that in my in-box, too. Another friend flamed the sender, then asked the rest of us if she was "too harsh." Not nearly enough. Sharing this with them...
i don't listen to any of that crap. because all it does is sicken me. like a bunch of high schoolers trying to start rumors. i received an email, dragging the poor guy through the mud. i deleted it, before i even finished reading it. while he isn't my first choice...i still think he seems like a good enough man!
I ditto Mishi.
I ditto Mishi as well.
Great haiku!!
I can't stand forwards.
Loved the ku!
Not a fan. However, not a fan of lies either....
LOL amen!!!
Ditto². Man are you great at kus!
great haiku...yours are always so well written.
my haiku comment:
i like that you called
bullshit on this cyber derf
obama is sweet
hmmm. i'm with mishi with this one.
I got that email! It infuriated me. My friend Katie blogged about it too (katieIam.blogspot.com)
Let's just hope more people had our reaction than not...
Is there anything haiku can't address? Love it.
Yeah, I hear you. But don't you worry, because it's not about race, it's about the truth. Uh huh.
I love being Canadian at times like this - the election process is so much less upsetting.
I hate all those stupid forwarded e-mails that are filled with lies. I wish people would learn to search on Snopes before they send off crap to everyone in their address book. Excellent haiku!

oy. just...oy. are people really that naive?
great haiku.
I like your Haiku even if I AM a Hilary gal ;)
There is a special place in hell for those type of forwards.
Fear prompts people to
attack to protect themselves
from what? A phantom!
I missed you last week, but am glad to catch up today.
Hugs and blessings,
